HAVE I HELPED?

SET YOURSELF UP TO BE HUMILIATED

Most ISPs have free web space that you can use.  To use BellSouth's, just follow their links from the help page on the main website.  There is a limitation of 10 MB, and there is a funky header they use (which you can choose to NOT use), but it is straightforward web space.  You can create your web presence and then ftp the files to the personal web server.  If you set it up right, you can just do window to window copying in Windows.

They of course have the simple web space with all the predefined formats.  This is fine for many people.

You can set up several root directories, each with a different web.  Your basic home page on bellsouth.net http://bellsouthpwp.net/j/d/jdloop/ in my case, will just give a directory listing if there is no index.html file.  To get to each of the webs, just go into the directory.  You can also point a domain name that you may have to each of the directories and bring up the web page directly.  That is how www.pccitizen.com  was done until I switched the domain hosting to directnic.com.

I have recently subscribed to the website provider "1and1."  So far it looks pretty responsive.  My wife is using the included -java- website builder.  You need to have popups enabled to get this to work.
